Shipping & Delivery & Returns
  • Where are you located? Where will my order be shipped from?
We have two main facilities. California, USA and Istanbul, TURKEY. All orders placed from USA, Canada, Mexico and South America will be fulfilled from our California, USA facility. All other orders placed from continental Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific Countries and Australia will be fulfilled from our Istanbul, TURKEY factory.
  • What is your Order Processing and Shipping policy?
    • We operate Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PST. All standard orders are processed within 1-2 business days.
    • Once an order is processed and shipped, you will receive an email with shipment confirmation and tracking information.
    • Processed and Shipped orders can not be cancelled.
    • Orders are not processed, shipped or delivered on holidays or weekends. Orders placed outside of business hours and on weekends/holidays will be processed the next business day.
    • Express shipping cut-off time is 12PM PST. Orders placed after 12PM PST will be processed and shipped the next business day.
    • Once your order has been processed and shipped, it will take 1-6 business days for your package to reach you, depending on your address and shipping service choice.
    • We primarily ship orders with UPS based on your choice of shipping service. You'll see available shipping rates at checkout which includes: UPS Ground, UPS 3-Day Select, UPS 2nd Day, UPS Next Day Air Saver. Please note that the delivery dates shown during checkout are estimated delivery dates based on UPS Transit Day Map. Please plan for additional days in transit for delivery.
    • All orders of $1000 and more will be shipped out with a Signature Required Delivery shipping service to ensure that your order is delivered and received safely. If you would like us to ship your order without a signature requirement, please contact us to sign a waiver. To do this, you will need to complete and sign a release form, prior to your shipment leaving our warehouse. Please note that if you choose this option you are releasing LEDPROFILES and the carrier from any responsibility for the package once it is dropped off at your door. Note: Signature Requirements cannot be removed once the item is in transit. If you do not waive the signature requirement prior to the order’s departure, then you will be responsible for all shipping fees in the return and reshipment of your item.
  • Do you ship International?
    We can virtually ship every country that UPS and USPS will deliver. Please note that there may be some size and weight restrictions along with country specific regulatory limitations. Please note customs clearance and duty charges will be at customers' responsibility at destination Country. Please plan for additional days in transit for customs clearance process and delivery for all international shipments based on destination country regulations.
    • How do you Calculate Shipping Cost?
    Shipping costs are calculated based on weight/size of the heatsinks in your cart. The weight information of our heatsinks are listed on product pages.
    • What is your return policy?

    Standard Products that are ordered with no modification / fabrication / customization requests are returnable in its original unused condition in 14 days. All returns are subject to HEATSINKONLINE's approval and require RMA# (Return Material Authorization). Unauthorized returns will be refused. Restocking fee of %20 are applied to standard products returns and return shipment costs are at customers expense. Any shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

    Custom products that are defined as all products ordered with modification / customization / fabrication / finishing requests including but not limited to cut-to-length, cut-to-width, drilling, tapping, milling, anodizing, powder coating or custom die tooling are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless there is HEATSINKONLINE's defect.

      • What if my shipment is Damaged, Lost or Stolen?

      Although we pack all shipments with the greatest care, there may be the occasion when a shipment arrives damaged.

      If you receive a shipment with obvious carton damage, DO NOT accept it. If you do accept it, insist on a damaged notation on the freight bill by the delivery person before you accept the shipment.

      All damage claims must be made to HEATSINKONLINE within 48 hours of delivery. We require a photo of Damaged Product and Packing. DO NOT discard any Product or Packing Material. HEATSINKONLINE will file a claim with the shipping company based on the information you provide. Failure to report required information in this time frame could result in a claim being denied by the carrier. If this occurs, HEATSINKONLINE cannot accept responsibility for the damages.

      • What is your average lead time for orders?

      We carry a large inventory of Heatsinks in all our locations to fulfill orders. Most of our standard in-stock item orders are processed and fulfilled Next Business Day. Please contact us for Rush Order processing requests.

      • Are all Heatsink Extrusions listed in your website available to public?

      With more than 45 years of heatsink extrusions manufacturing experience of our exclusive extrusion partner, all listed heatsink extrusions are available to public. Please contact us if you need any technical specification sheet of our heatsinks.

      • Which machining services do you offer for Extrusions?

      Fabrication services that can be provided including but not limited to;
      -Cut to length 
      -Vertical Cut to Width

      Please provide us your drawings for a quote for any fabrication requests you may need on your heatsink. 

      • What's the surface flatness tolerance of your heatsinks?

      Our Exclusive Heatsink Manufacturer is a ISO9001 certified extruder that stays well within industry standards for flatness and other tolerances. Still if your application requires the base of the heatsink to be perfectly flat, face milling is recommended.  

      • Do you provide Anodizing and Powder Coating Services?

      We offer Anodizing and Powder Coating services as required for your application. All of our stock Heatsink Extrusions are Mill Finish. Please contact us if you have any special anodization requirements like thickness or different colors.

      • What is your Cut Length tolerance?

      Standard Cut length tolerance for extrusions is +.0200”/-0.00''. We can provide better tolerances if you specifically request in your purchase order.

      • I need advice to determine which heatsink would be suitable for my project? Can you guide me?

      We can provide the short list of available heatsinks for your dimension requirements. However, we DO NOT provide any consultation or advice regarding the thermal capabilities of our heatsink extrusions. We have provided approximate C/W/3'' values for each available heatsink. These approximate C/W/3" values are based on natural convection: 70C temp rise above ambient, based on a single 1" (25.4mm) square heat source centered on the heat sink. We STRONGLY recommend our customers perform their own thermal testing in relation to their specific applications. Our customers bear the responsibility for testing our products for any proposed use. Any information provided by HEATSINKONLINE is believed to be accurate, but our customers must accept all responsibility for use and the application of our products.

      • We plan to use one of the heatsinks listed on your website in our project. Can we get the CAD file?

      We can provide the CAD files of the heatsinks listed in our website. Please contact us for your requests.

      Custom Heatsinks

      • Do you provide custom Heatsinks or other Extrusions?

      We have the capability to design, tool and extrude new Heatsink requests you may have.  

      • I have a heatsink design for my project? Can you make the die tooling for it?

      We can provide die tooling service for your custom heatsink requests. Tooling a new die would require a minimum of 1.000lbs and more order volume.  Please contact us for your custom request. Custom design heatsinks are proprietary to the customers that have purchased the tooling services for them. Tooling costs does not convey ownership. Tools remain property of HEATSINKONLINE. If you were to proceed with a custom tooling service purchase, the right to use that die would remain yours and solely produced for your company unless granted written permission from you. 

      • What is your shipping tolerances?

      Standard Products that are listed in our website and ordered in quantity or length are shipped as they quoted.

      Custom Extrusions that are prepared specific to customers may have manufacturing/shipping tolerances up to %15. Such deviations are usual in this trade and the deliveries are deemed as being in compliance with the agreement. If delivery quantities fall below the ordered quantities, there shall be no right to subsequent delivery of the missing quantity.

      Pricing and Ordering

      • Do you have a minimum order requirement?

      No! We don’t have any minimum order requirement or any extra charge for small orders for standard products (No fabrication or surface finish work required orders). You can order any amount as you need. However, it’s necessary to consider shipment costs for small orders may be unreasonable amounts due to weight of packages. 

      • What is your pricing strategy? Can I get a volume discount for my project?

      We’re dedicated to provide the best value to our customers. We define the Value as an optimal balance of good service, availability, wide product mix and competitive pricing.
